Blacks Shooting Unarmed Black Men Ignored

Recently I got into a dust up over claims blacks should defend themselves from police. I suggested they defend themselves from criminal blacks.

Let's start with the Trump hating Washington Post.

"Police fatally shot 987 people last year (2017), or two dozen more than they killed in 2016, according to an ongoing Washington Post database project that tracks the fatal shootings...

While many of the year-to-year patterns remain consistent, the number of unarmed black males killed in 2017 declined from two years ago. Last year, police killed 19, a figure tracking closely with the 17 killed in 2016...

Black males accounted for 22 percent of all people shot and killed in 2017, yet they are 6 percent of the total population. White males accounted for 44 percent of all fatal police shootings, and Hispanic males accounted for 18 percent."

We have hysteria about police shootings of unarmed blacks but are determined to ignore their disproportionate violent crime rates. Considering the number of police encounters about 20 unarmed blacks shot in a year is very low.

About 300 people a year are killed by lightning.

They also ignore that twice as many blacks died in Chicago alone at the hands of mainly blacks than all blacks killed by police in the entire country in 2017. Same with 2016.

Yes more whites are shot than blacks, but per-capita more blacks are shot - but at 13% of the population commit over half the violent crime and over half the murders.

The Chicago Tribune reports April 30, 2018 that "In Chicago, 151 people have been killed this year. That is 44 fewer than 2017." That is a celebration?

As they report for the previous 365 days 559 people have died from gunshots. Of this 483 are black, 83 Hispanic, and 42 white.

That is 25 times as many blacks murdered in Chicago alone at the hands of blacks than unarmed blacks killed by police in the same time period across the entire country.

In my view the causes for this problem is life in Blue-Democrat controlled urban war zones, single mothers, and activists playing up racial discord to cement liberal voting blocks. This produces an angry underclass their policies created in the first place.

The Chicago black slaughterhouse has been Democrat controlled for decades. Poverty is heavily concentrated in black communities with 75% of black children born to single mothers. 51% for Hispanics. In 2006, 91.4 percent of single parents of black children were mothers - Politifact
